New features, enhancements and bug fixes
----------------------------------------
(see the on-line help for a complete list)

Version 2.3 August 1999
------------------------
Upgrade release.

The program has been recompiled using the latest compiler version which
means that it is now bundled with BDE V5.01. This fixes the problem when
using the software in WIN98 with FAT32 turned on.

Changing the "Script" option in font settings is now permanent (also a
compiler bug).

The "Defaults for new slides" fields are now selected by the user. You can
have default values for any of the fields in the database grid (up to 20
fields).

New preference setting to use the full-sized images when printing a contact
sheet instead of the thumbnails. Gives a higher resolution printed image but
runs slower.

"Edit" menu added to Database window for performing operations on the
database grid. Includes Undo, Delete, Insert functions which were only
previously available using key presses.

Cut, Copy and Paste functions added. These commands operate on the currently
selected database record.

"File | Pack database" function added. This command rebuilds the slide
database (and associated tables). This is useful for purging records which
have already been deleted and can also fix some database corruption
problems.

"File | Create from text file" now gives you the option of auto-creating new
slide ID numbers instead of reading them from the text file.

The Database and Query windows are now correctly resized when used on a
system with the "Large fonts" display setting.

Version 2.2 October 1998
-------------------------
Upgrade release.

Slideshow viewer added. You can display a full-sized image slideshow using
the Light Table. Images are displayed in the order shown on the Light Table
and image advancement is controlled using the mouse and/or automatically at
a pre-set delay.

Create slide records from existing full-sized image files function added.
Just specify the folder where the existing files are stored and Slide
Librarian will (1) create a new slide record for each file, (2) copy the
files to the standard full-sized image folder (converting them to the
standard export file type if necessary) and giving them a filename
corresponding to the slide record, (3) create thumbnail images for the new
records.

Selecting a slide in the Query Window now moves the Database Grid to the
same slide making it easy to search for slides for editing.

Double-clicking on a slide on the Light Table which had no full-sized image
locked up the Light Table - fixed.

Exiting the program caused a crash if the printer used for printing slide
labels no longer existed - fixed.
