     The purpose of the program

  Like Thumb Plus, PIE, and PhotoAlbum - R-PhotoOrganizer is a tool for
  organization of pictures taken by digital cameras such vendors, as
  Nikon, Canon, Olympus, Fuji, Epson, Kodak, and others.
  The feature set includes:
    - Showing exposure, and other specific information about a shot added by
      a digital camera. 
    - Showing an original thumbnails prepared by a camera and a full resolution
      image. 
    - Loss-less image transformation, like rotation, mirroring, and others. 
    - Manipulation with a digital camera specific information. 
    - Image renaming, including customizable rename mask + topic. 
    - Creation image collections. 
    - Creation HTML pages for picture presentations. 
    - Storing collections to CD and database.
    - Complete web publishing including FTP and HTTP upload.
    - Sending thumbnails and images collection to E-Mail recipient.
  This program also offers some unique features, like extracting a camera
  specific information and then restore it in an image, if such information
  was lost as a result of an editing of the image.
  R-PhotoOrganizer is 100% Java application, so you can virtually run it on
  any computer, and on any OS.

     How to install the program
     ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  This version is distributed as a ZIP file. Unzip this file somewhere on your
  hard disk with saving directories structure.

  Windows executable version:
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  Make sure that you have the latest Microsoft VM installed on your computer.
  Check http://www.microsoft.com/java/ for the latest one. If you have
  installed Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or higher, sure you have it. Type
  r-phorg.exe for launching the program. For convenience, you can provide
  short cut to the program on the desktop, or Start menu.

  Pure Java version (any platform where Java is available):
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  If you don't have preinstalled Java VM on you computer, then you have to do
  that. In depending on your OS, you can download the latest Sun's JDK 1.1 from
  http://java.sun.com/products/jdk/1.1/jre/index.html. You may also use Java2.
  JDK 1.3 is recommended.

  You also need to have installed JFC(Swing) library version 1.1.1 or
  newer. Check http://java.sun.com/products/jfc/download.html for the latest
  one. If you use Java2, you don't need to download and install JFC. Additional
  downloads can be required, if you want to use advanced features of the
  program, such as a viewing images in one of 50 common used graphics file
  formats, or a sending your selections by e-mail.

  Now, you're ready to launch the R-PhotoOrganizer. Since, the current version
  doesn't include an installation software, you have to modify a batch/shell
  file,  specifying a correct path to system class libraries and 
  JFC (for JDK 1.1 only). If you are going to using E-Mail feature, you
  have to also specify a correct class path for Java Mail API, and Activation
  Framework class libraries. If yo have JDK 1.3 and other libraries installed 
  as extension, you can launch the program typing java -jar PhotoOrganizer.jar.

    The status of the program

  This program is freeware, however adding photo stitching capabilities could
  move it to shareware. Notice, that the author provides the full source code.
