This file contains the history for versions of WebTimeSync from 2.5 (the first Internet release) up to version 5.6:

Version 5.6: Windows XP visual styles compatible, fixes a problem with "still executing last request" errors, changes the order of the server list, and adds the capability for WebTimeSync to check for updates to itself automatically

Version 5.5: Windows XP Compatible, fixes a problem with setup under NT4, tweaks performance.

Version 5.4: Moved to the Windows Installer, updated the time clock server list, and made the package about 200K smaller.

Version 5.3: adds better error handling and finer control over connection properties (automatic, direct, or proxy) in the Proxy settings panel.

Version 5.2: adds/updates some code from the update time section and changes the maximum interval between automatic updates a day apart.

Version 5.1: fixes a bug where a necessary file wouldn't register properly as well as fixing a bug that could cause WebTimeSync to crash on exit after being restored from the system tray

Version 5.0: Improved update support, native API support for Windows NT event log, better error handling and a new autodetect and install system for required files

Version 4.6: fixed a problem with european date formats not properly being used in updating the time, date and time formatting is now sensitive to the current locale and uses the settings in the Regional Settings control panel.

Version 4.5: Year 2001 compliant.

Version 4.4: added a button for reading the program log, added support for delaying up to a minute before running the update at system startup, enhanced the setup program.

Version 4.3: Fixed logging of time outs, minor UI issues in settings dialogs resolved, added support for offsets up to 20 hours away from GMT.

Version 4.2: Improved Setup program, system tray issues fixed.

Version 4.1: Added logging of timed out updates, fixed several bugs, remembers where it is on your screen.

Version 4.0: Added date updating, logging of successful updates, redesigned user interface and showing "last correction" on the system tray icon (when used).

Version 3.4/3.4a: Fixes Error 5, updated help files.

Version 3.3: Added update on system startup and startup and quit options.

Version 3.2: support for custom server, updates dialog fix, disconnect after update option, and the use of the Windows Installer engine.

Version 3.1: bug fix with apply button, added ability to detect internet settings in Options dialog, improved update checking, also added startup at system startup.

Version 3.0: added tabbed options dialog, improved online/offline connection status checking, improved user interface, also added update checking for new WebTimeSync versions.

Version 2.8: fixed a bug in the custom time offset feature, added a "Startup Minimized" option.

Version 2.7: added custom time offset, checking to see if computer is connected (temporarily disabled in 2.8 due to a serious bug), and added automatic updating through a command-line switch.

Version 2.5: added proxy support and "minimize to tray" behavior.
