------------------------------------------------
1. Licensing
------------------------------------------------

QuickTable / QuickList RC1 is licensed on a per-web, per-server basis. This
means that if you host three different domains on a single IIS server,
you must purchase three licenses.

Discount pricing is available for multiple servers/domains.

Sample scenarios:

>> www.myweb.com (requires 1 license)
>> www.myweb.com and intranet.myweb.com on same server (requires 2 licenses)
>> www.myweb.com and intranet.myweb.com on different servers (requires 2 licenses)
>> www.myweb.com hosted on two servers (requires 2 licenses)
>> www.myweb.com and intranet.myweb.com sharing two servers (requires 2 licenses)

------------------------------------------------
2. RDS / MDAC
------------------------------------------------

RDS (Remote Data Services) requires at minimum MDAC 2.x on the server
and Internet Explorer 4.x+ on the client. RDS will NOT work with
Netscape Navigator or any other browser other than Internet Explorer.

To check your version of MDAC, download the Component Checker from
Microsoft at http://www.microsoft.com/data/download.htm. This program
will help you determine which version of MDAC components your server
currently has. If you need to upgrade your version of MDAC, use the
MDAC installation link in the QuickTable folder, or download the
most current version from Microsoft at http://www.microsoft.com/data.

QuickTable RC1 comes with MDAC 2.5 RTM (2.50.4403.12).

------------------------------------------------
3. Remote Scripting engine (RS)
------------------------------------------------

The Remote Scripting engine allows your QuickLists to pull data based
on a selection in another QuickList. The more important features of
Remote Scripting are its speed, use of HTTP, and compatibility with
Netscape and most other Java-supporting browsers.

To install the Remote Scripting engine on your web server, select
Install Remove Scripting 1b from the QuickTable RC1 folder in the
Start Menu. Follow the instructions during installation.

Following installation of Microsoft's RS software, you need to copy
listbox.asp from the "\Program Files\Crossoft\QuickTable RC1" folder
to the _Scriptlibrary folder in the web you plan to use QuickTable/
QuickList. This file supports the QuickTable/QuickList .dll in
building dynamic droplists in web pages.

------------------------------------------------
4. Using the Help file
------------------------------------------------

You can access the Help File in the QuickTable RC1 folder of the
Start Menu. All properties and methods of QuickTable RC1 are
detailed and multiple examples are given throughout the Help file.

------------------------------------------------
5. Features in future versions

------------------------------------------------
6. Support / Upgrades
------------------------------------------------

All registered users of QuickTable RC1 will receive free upgrades
through version 2.0, and special offers on other Crossoft components
released before then.

During the RC1 period, you should direct any questions or error
messages to support@crossoft.com. A well-formed error report contains
the following information:

1) Your IIS version
2) NT version (and Service Pack #)
3) Browser and version
4) Source code that causes the error
5) Sample data for reproducing and fixing the error

By providing us with this information, we can better support your
applications and make changes needed to QuickTable for version 1.0.

Following the release of QuickTable 1.0, changes will be released
in periodically, with details included. Usually, they will be a
release of a new .dll, .chm (help file), and readme.txt with details
of changes made.
