Function Summary:

Program copies URLs from HTML files and make a Microsoft Internet Shortcut for
each that it successfully parses. Drag and drop capabilities allow multiple files
to be processed in quick succession.

Description:

Some of you may be familiar with a previous effort of mine, URLs Out!, which was designed
to collect all your Microsoft Internet Favorites and compile them into HTML files.
LinkChaser is sort of a followup to that program, or maybe a companion. It takes HTML
files and attempts to strip the links from it, creating Internet Shortcuts in a directory
of your choice. I guess I should have named it "URLs In"!

Basically you load the program, select an output directory and start dragging HTML files
from the Explorer. It's pretty fast and a no-brainer to use. Personally I use the program
while I'm online - I drop files into it to have the shortcuts there to peruse later, sans
the wrapper.

Known Bugs:

LinkChaser occasionally has problems with picture buttons and image maps. It may work
with them, may not. I've had a hard time defining when and why.

Licence:

LinkChaser is offered as freeware. This means that although I retain the
copyright to this program, you are free to use and distribute it without
making payment of any sort to me. You are not licensed to resell the
product by itself or as part of a larger package.

I would appreciate your comments by email. Email is cheap enough that it
won't inconvenience you and I'd just like to know how many people actually
got some use out of this program.

Support Policy:

As I receive no payment for this program, I guarantee no support of any
kind. You may send questions via email, and I will attempt to answer
them at my leisure, but use of this program in no way guarantees technical
support of any kind.
