DNTools II
Copyright Atmosoft, 1999.

DNTools is designed to help you monitor, optimize, and simplify your Dial-up
Networking connection. DNTools is an integrated dialer, connection monitor,
optimizer, connection keeper, automatic reconnector, email notifier, and hosts
file manager.

Use DNTools to dial, and it will redial until your connection
is made, at the minimum speed acceptable to you, it will then play an audio
file to let you know it is connected, and launch your browser (or other
software) for you automatically. While you are connected it will show you
your upload and download speeds, check for new email at a regular interval,
ping your isp at random intervals, and reconnect you automatically if your
Internet connection is dropped. This is the definition of Dial-up Networking
simplification. DNTools also provides access to all of the Microsoft Dial-up
Networking optimization parameters found in the registry, and can test your
connection and automatically fine tune these settings for you, giving you peak
Dial-up networking performance. In addition, DNTools will enable you to use
and manage your 'Hosts' file, which is a local database of Internet host names
and associated IP addresses. This is like having your own name server right
on your computer. You can enter host names manually, or import them from
Netscape bookmarks, or Internet Explorer Favorites. DNTools will then look
up the associated IP addresses.
