URL Sorter is shareware.

*************
Introduction:
*************

With URL Sorter, you can sort your links by description and have it turned
into HTML. You give the program an input file consisting of titles,
addresses and descriptions.

The program will then sort and produce an alphabetized listing of the sites.
You can use this if you want to keep a listing of links on your site neatly
organized.

***********
How to use:
***********
URL Sorter requires Windows 95 or higher.

Unzip the files into the directory of your choice.

Make a file that contains the listing of titles, addresses, and site
descriptions in the following format:

title
address
description

title
address
description

and so on.

If you wish to have no description, place a * on that line.
Example:

title
address
*

Note:
You can not have a description begin with a *. If you forget to include
anyone of these lines in your input file, the result will be incorrect.
No line can exceed 250 characters. If there are more than 250 characters on
the line your output will be incorrect.

To sort them, run URL Sorter from a DOS prompt or the run line as shown:
urlsorter input output
Replace 'input' with your listing file and 'output' with the name of the
HTML file to be generated. Do not add an html extension to the output
filename, URL Sorter adds it on it's own.

Example:
urlsorter listing.txt sorted

You can now edit sorted.html to suit your needs.

If the last site in your listing contains an extra symbol when the output
is produced, make sure the last line in the input file contains a new line
character. It doesn't need this, but it may cause problems if left out.

A sample file sample.txt shows what the input file should look like.

How to register:
****************

The unregistered version will only work on a file with up to 10 sites. The
registered version will handle as many sites as the memory in your system
can handle.

Look at the form in register.txt for details on how to register.
Registration is only $5 (US funds).
