-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Welcome to Music Frame for Java!

What the hell is MusicFrame?

If you're really interested in music and/or you've a big collection of CD, MC, LP,
Video etc. then this software is for YOU!

MusicFrame for Java v 0.02 ist the second public beta of my OS/2 application
MusicFrame/2 remastered to the Java plattform. It's a xBase type database to store
data with musical relation. In fact it's a programm that can manage your cd, mc,
lp or whatsever collection. It can show crossreferences between bands as the main goal.
If you once have your database up to date you can pre calculate a planed recording to
cd or mc etc.
MusicFrame gives you some information 'bout your collection and database.
MusicFrame are able to create playlists for Albatros CD-Player, Creative Labs CTCD and
MMOS/2 cdplayer.
This version includes a little demo database. If you want the full database, you'll have
to register your copy.

What requirements are there?

You must have installed a Java JRE 1.1.8 or higher and Swing 1.0.3. Your Operating
System of choice must be capable to run Java applications. The second beta
(this version) will be released to the Linux, OS/2 and Windows communities.

The execution on other plattforms is supported, but MusicFrame for Java can't access
the CD-rom drive on plattforms other than OS/2 this time. This is because the lack of
a multimedia-dll. I hope I can supply the linux and windows support in the next version.

How can I install or uninstall Music Frame for Java?

Installation is simple, just unzip all files in the archive to a temporary directory.
From there you should select the install file which supportet by your plattform.

OS/2: Run instos2.cmd
Windows: Run instwin.bat
Linux: First type 'chmod 777 instlinux' then execute instlinux

MusicFrame makes no changes to your configuration. So you have to delete all files in
your MusicFrame directory if you wish to discontinue using.

Are there any restrictions in the unregistered version?

No, the unregistered version is full functional. But the logo window is shown 20 seconds.

Yes, you can get a free copy by giving me a solution on some OS/2 related questions.

1. I'm searching for a way to read label volumes of an audio-cd on OS/2.
