You are about to access RealFrenchPlus - a tutorial based on five
of the texts and recordings of www.laguinguette.com. The tutorial has been designed to help anyone with a good knowledge of English
improve his or her listening, reading and writing skills in the French of today.

All of the tutorial's components have been compiled into one
executable file which when opened (by double-clicking) will welcome you, the user, in an opening screen. From there you will
be invited to proceed as you wish: perhaps first by accessing a Help file and then accessing the Main Menu. Being interactive, RealFrenchPlus allows the user to proceed or backtrack at any point during a given practice session.

Each of the five texts that RealFrenchPlus features is accompanied by a lexicon, a cloze-type exercise, a short-answer quiz and a series of puzzles in the form of scrambled sentences that reflect the content of the readings/recordings. While it does seem reasonable to assume that you will want to complete any one of the five sections before accessing another, you are free to roam at will...

You need to know that when you are working in the Short-Answer
sections of the tutorial, you may discover that the words "Est-ce que" may not always have been programmed as an alternate answer(i.e., a question). So you may prefer to avoid typing the "Est-ce que" expression at the beginning of a question, unless you wish to see for yourself...

The lexicons may be accessed before or after reading the text of
the recordings, before or after you have listened to the recordings, or at any time thereafter.

In the event that you find this tutorial worthwhile to you
or to your son, daughter, student(s) etc., you may wish to reach the author (by e-mail) to tell him that you would be willing to
pay a small amount for a forthcoming expanded version of RealFrenchPlus. "RealFrenchPlus-Pro" will include not 5 but 15 readings/recordings with ancillary exercises, a basic hypertextual grammar review, basic irregular verb paradigms and related JavaScripted quizzes: all in a very interactive, user-friendly and simple design.

For news regarding the above-mentioned forthcoming software, visit the author's website at: http://members.aol.com/bengp/francophil
