ReadMe for mp3Tray 1.0r4

mp3Tray is an utility that resides in the Windows system tray and that allows the user to play an MP3 file with a single click in any player of their choosing. mp3Tray is freeware, and therefore freely distributable as long as all files remain intact.

INSTALLATION

To install mp3Tray, simply extract all files in mp3Tray.zip to a temporary directory, run setup.exe, and follow the the instructions from there.

The VB5 runtime files needed for this program can be found at this URL:
http://www.simtel.net/simtel.net/win95/dll.html

To uninstall, select mp3Tray from Windows' Add/Remove Programs window in Control Panel.

LIMITATIONS

Oh, there are many. Most noticeably is the menu that launches from right-clicking the mp3Tray icon when its loaded. At this point in time, mp3Tray can only handle 90 mp3Files in a directory at once. If there are more, they'll just be ignored - in alphabetical order. This is due to my own inept programming and will hopefully be fixed soon. As well, the menu doesn't scroll properly on some systems as I feared it wouldn't. This, too, will disappear one day in the near future. Still a few registry problems, but they're relatively minor - for now. All-in-all, this is only going to get better. Maybe even a help file or two.....
