Music Publisher 32 by Braeburn Software

PRODUCT INFORMATION

Description

Music Publisher 32 is a tool for Windows 95+ which produces high-quality
music printout in a fully WYSIWYG and flexible manner. It is not a sequencer,
nor does the package play back the music to you, rather it is a tool for
professional-level musicians who need to be able to print out very
high-quality music. Like a word-processor it relies on your abilities to
produce correct output. In fact if you wish to break the rules of music
to produce certain effects, it will not complain.

Above all, it does not argue with you!

It offers:

o	Flexible binding of staves into systems - piano, organ, choir,
        single stave, Scottish Pipes...
o	Choice of 4 clefs or none
o Any time signature or none
o	Grace notes, words (lyrics/titles/instructions) in any of the fonts
        installed on your system
o	Optional templates provided
o	NO fixed rules about parts per stave, beats per bar, stem directions,
        n-tuplets - all are possible!
o	Grace notes, cross-headed notes, white-headed quavers,
        triple-dotting, beams...
o	Over 140 drag-and-drop musical symbols: fermata, trills, dynamic
        marks, accents, figured bass...
o PCX and BMP output to produce inclusions for word-processed documents
o Extensive help: Tutorial, Tip of the day, Help file, What's This?
        buttons, and more on registration.

In fact if there's anything it won't do, then the author would like to
know about it!

Music Publisher is also available for Windows 3 at the same price and
with the same features.

Further releases are planned, to include playback and other automated
facilities. If a feature you want is not included in this package, contact
the author - it may already have been added to a later version.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

From floppy disk, or from hard disk, run the file SETUP.EXE from
the desktop with the Start Run command, giving the filename
A:SETUP (or other location).

The package installs files into the folder C:\Program Files\MUSPUB
(by default) and three subfolders: GUIDE, TEMPLATE and SAMPLES

Also the file MUSPUB.INI is copied into the C:\WINDOWS directory.

No other files (.DLLs etc) are installed anywhere else in the system.

UNINSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

After standard installation, the package leaves an Uninstall Icon
in the Music Publisher group. Simply click it. This removes the program
files and folders from your system. However, if you have saved music
files (*.MUP, *.MPB, *.MPT) then these will be unaffected and the
folders in which they reside will be left.
