DHCP BROADCAST LISTENER (user guide)
===================================

General:
=======

This program is intended to assist the network user/manager in monitoring Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) activity.

Upon startup it listens to network traffic and decode the packets it receive.

The program is active when started and you dont need to click the listen button at first.

You SHOULD NOT try to run it on a DHCP-server, because it will try to use the same port as the server does and will fail. If loaded before the DHCP server it will prevent it from loading.

You can execute it on a DHCP-client and it will not interrupt the address negotiation process.

The program only monitor broadcast packets and therefore it will not display any DHCP-server originated packets (which are unicast).

Command explained:
=================
Start: Tells the program to start listening to DHCP broadcasts. It is not required to click the start at startup, the program does it by default.

Stop: Tells the program to stop listening to DHCP traffic.

Clear Log: Clear the log buffer without saving the data.

Save and Clear: Save the log buffer to the specified file and clears it.

Registration:
============
In order to use the program for more then 14 days, you must register it.

The registration is free of charge and it is done simply by sending an email message to soft_reg62@hotmail.com.

The mail should include the registration code specified in the upper field of the registration window.

I hope you will find this application useful, Avner.
