	Easy LAN Chat ReadMe File: 

	SHAREWARE VERSION NOTICE:  This software will operate normally for a period of 30 (thirty) days from the initial installation.  This software will NOT FUNCTION after that time without a registration code.

  Thank you for trying Easy LAN Chat. Easy LAN Chat is an easy to use Local Area Network chat program for two or more computers on a Windows network. Easy LAN Chat does NOT use the Internet. It uses your pre-existing LAN as a tranport protocol for chatting between computers on your pre-existing LAN.

	System Requirements:

  This software requires Windows 95 A or B, or Windows 98 or better, with an established Local Area Network using Windows Networking Protocols and share level access.  The installation requires less than 0.5 MB of disk space.  

	To install:

  Double click the Setup.exe file in the setup disk or folder.  The setup program will guide you through the rest of the installation.

	To UnInstall Easy LAN Chat:

  To uninstall Easy LAN Chat simply click the "Un-install" menu item in the Easy LAN Chat program group.  You can also open a command prompt, switch to the Easy LAN Chat installation folder and type "setup /uninstall"

  WARNING! If you use the uninstall program, all of the personalized settings pertaining to Easy LAN Chat will be deleted.

	Program Description: 

  Easy LAN Chat is an easy to use Local Area Network chat program for use by computers on an established Windows 95 or 98 network using share level access. It does not use the Internet for chatting and cannot communicate with, or by using, Internet protocols. Easy LAN Chat makes it easy for you to communicate with other people on your LAN. In Version 2.0 you can send a private, secure message to another computer with the Private Message utility and monitor regular chat room activity with the Easy LAN Chat Monitor. With the new monitor, you can join any current normal chat (not private message) on your LAN. Version 2.0 also utilizes chat logging which is optional.
