Please read ALL the information below BEFORE installing WinPAS
Plus32.  Suggestion: print these instructions now so you can refer
to them when doing the actual installation.  

After printing and reading these instructions, perform the
installation procedure(s) below.

If you have WinPAS Plus32 installation disks, skip the Special
Installation Note below and proceed directly to 'To Install
WinPAS Plus32 From Floppy Disks'.


Special Installation Note
-------------------------

It is assumed that you're reading this because you
downloaded WinPAS Plus32 from an internet site and
that you do not have floppy disks from which to install
this software.

To run successfully, WinPAS Plus32 requires file
MSVBVM50.DLL. This file may already be on your
computer. Using Windows Explorer, check for the
file in your Windows system directory (usually
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM).

If the file is already present, skip steps 1-6
below and continue with 'To Install WinPAS
Plus32 From Unzipped Files On Your Hard Disk'.

If the file is NOT present, check the list of
files produced when you unzipped WinPAS Plus32.
  
 - If the required DLL is listed, skip steps 1-6
   below and continue with 'To Install WinPAS
   Plus32 From Unzipped Files On Your Hard Disk'.
  
 - If the DLL is NOT in the list, perform steps
   1-6 below to download and install the file from
   the SimTel internet site. It's easy to do.

1. Visit the SimTel site at the following address:

   http://www.simtel.net/simtel.net/win95/dll.html

2. Click on filename 'vb500a.zip' to download it
   to your hard drive. Make a note of where the
   file is being saved on your hard drive.

3. When the download is complete, unzip the
   vb500a.zip file to a directory of your choice.
   
4. Double-click on the README.TXT file produced
   by the unzip operation. Read the displayed
   information -- at least down to the second line
   of asterisks.

5. Follow the TO INSTALL THIS ARCHIVE instructions
   displayed on the screen.

6. Continue with 'To Install WinPAS Plus32 From Unzipped
   Files On Your Hard Disk'.



To Install WinPAS Plus32 From Unzipped Files On Your Hard Disk
---------------------------------------------------------------
1.   Start Windows 95 (or Windows 98)
2.   Click the Start Button
3.   Choose Run
4.   Type  <path>setup
       where <path> is the path to the unzipped WinPAS files
       Example:  c:\unzipped files\setup   
5.   Press the Enter key
6.   When the installation is complete, continue below at 
     'After Installing WinPAS Plus32'.



To Install WinPAS Plus32 From Floppy Disks
-------------------------------------------
1.   Insert installation disk 1 in drive A (or B)
2.   Start Windows 95 (or Windows 98)
3.   Click the Start Button
4.   Choose Run
5.   Type  a:setup      (or b:setup)
6.   Press the Enter key
7.   When the installation is complete, continue below at 
     'After Installing WinPAS Plus32'.

If you're a NEW USER
--------------------
If you are new to the WinPAS family of programs, start
WinPAS Plus32 then answer "yes" when asked if you want a N&A
File established.



If you're MIGRATING FROM WinPAS Plus TO WinPAS Plus32
------------------------------------------------------
BEFORE starting WinPAS Plus32 for the first time, use
Windows 95/98 Explorer to copy your current Name and Address file
(n&a.pls) and mailing lists (files with names of the form
'pasmail.xxx') from folder 'C:\Winpas.pls' to the PLUS32 folder.
The default Plus32 folder is 'C:\Program Files\WinPAS Plus32'.

After you are comfortable with Plus32 you can uninstall Plus.
Instructions for doing so are included in the Plus Help System.


If you're MIGRATING FROM PAS OR WinPAS TO WinPAS Plus32
-------------------------------------------------------
If you already have name and address data in a PAS (for DOS) or
WinPAS (not WinPAS Plus or WinPAS Plus32) Name And Address File,
contact the shareware author at the address below for a copy of
a program to convert your N&A File to the Plus32 format.
