BookPrintMe DESCRIPTION

BookPrintMe is a Shareware program for MS-Windows 95/98/ME.
It is is based on the German shareware program BookPrint Version 1.7.03. The functions of both versions are the same. Only the text has been translated from German to English.

The Program offers you the following print applications:
1)	Print paper saving BOOKLETS.
2)	Print paper saving TILED folders.
3)	Print POSTERS (Wall papers)
4)	Print CD-INLAYS
5)	Print MULTIPLE COPIES

1)
The program prints booklets or books and saves paper by printing 2, 4, 8, or 16 pages on both sides of a sheet (with or without a duplexing printer). A series of booklets are combined to build a book. BookPrint makes it easy to produce handsome booklets or books by rearranging the order in which the pages in your document are printed so the sheets can be folded in half to form a 5" by 8" booklet, or cut in half and inserted into binder. You can review the pages before printing the booklet. BookPrint, when used correctly, completely eliminates the need for all paper shuffling, either before printing the reverse side or after the final document is printed.

2)
The program prints paper saving TILED folders Up to 8 pages on both sides of a paper sheet are printed in sequential order.
By example wit 2x2 pages per sheet BookPrint prints:
-	On front side of 1st sheet the pages 1 and 2, on the back the pages 3 and 4
-	On front side of 2nd sheet the pages 5 and 6, on the back the pages 7 and 8

3)
A POSTER arises by sticking together (like a mosaic) two, four, eight or sixteen sheets. One DIN A2 poster for example results from four DIN A4s, or one DIN A3 poster results from two DIN A4s. You can determine the width of the sticking edge before.

4)
CD-INLAYS are printed in the booklet format with the page lengths' 12 cm so that they can be used after folding as an enclosure for CD cassettes (Jewel Case).

5)
MULTIPLE COPIES may be printed such that there is one sheet per page number. The page is repeated twice, four or eight times on a sheet depending on the selected number of pages/sheet.

You can provide the pages with a background picture (watermark, writing paper design) and a foreground picture (stamp) with all print applications. The current page overprints the background picture. The foreground picture overprints the current page.

The appearance of the scaled page images corresponds to the original page images of a normal printer. Before printing you can preview the print image at the window.

In general BookPrint is suitable to print:
	program manuals (readme.txt)
	help files
	cook books
	address books
	program source listings
	electronic publications
	spreadsheets/database reports
	catalogues
	brochures
club or church newsletters and the like.

BookPrint operates as a printer driver that may be used by any Windows application that provides a Print function. If BookPrint is defined as the standard printer, you simply start BookPrint with the print function of the current application. Otherwise you select the BookPrint driver from the list of printers from the printer setup dialog of the application.
From any application you send a print job to the BookPrint-Manager by means of the BookPrint- Driver. The jobs remain there stored until the accumulated jobs are printed on the same booklet on the real printer. For example you may print a booklet that contains several topics of a help file. Execute the print function of the help system for each topic to do this.
BookPrint uses the EMF-file format for spooling the print jobs and requires the support of this format by the application. This EMF-format is supported by most applications among which there are the MS-Office products and Adope Acrobat Reader (Version 4.0.and higher). Some few applications do not support the EMF-format and thus do not support BookPrint. Samples of those applications are Acrobat Reader 3.1 and Fax-programs.
If you print a book that requires more then 40 pages, you get a sequence of booklets. Each but the last booklet comprises 40 pages. The page numbering continues with the continuing booklets.
Note:
You can change the maximum page number per booklet in the text box Pages/Booklet of the Print-Dialog-Box
