I/O ActiveX Control

A self-installing EXE is available from
"http://www.jspayne.com"

This I/O ActiveX control is a software component that can
be used in any OLE2 compliant programming environment.
Visual Basic, Delphi, Power Builder Visual C++, Borland C++,
are some of these environments. This control lets you read
and write to both the serial and parallel ports on a PC.

To use this software component you must copy the file IO.OCX
to the Windows system directory. You will also need to have
MFC42.DLL and MSVCRT.DLL present in the Windows system directory.
If you don't have a copy of MFC42.DLL and MSVCRT.DLL you can download
the self-installing package from the web site mentioned above.

This zip also contains Visual Basic examples and EXEs.
To run the EXEs you must have VB40032.DLL installed in your
Windows system directory.

This version of the I/O ActiveX control is fully functional,
but it will display a splash/nag screen when the port
is opened. This version of the control can be
freely distributed upon the condition that this documentation
accompanies the IO.OCX.

If you have difficulty in using this control, you can get
assistance via e-mail at "support@jspayne.com".
