    - Faster encoding/decoding algorithm

    - Bugs of the older version (File Encryptor 2.01) resolved

 HOW TO USE
 ----------

Before learning how to use FILE ENCRYPTOR 2000, learn these three Windows
 controls:

---------[ This is a part of Microsoft Developer Network Library ]----------

RADIO BUTTON: A round button operated by the user to choose from a set of
related but mutually exclusive options. The check mark for a
radio button is a black dot. A radio button can assume two
states: checked (dot) or unchecked (no dot).

EDIT BOX : A rectangular control window that a user can use to type and
               edit text.

LIST BOX : In Windows, a child window that contains a list of items that
can be selected by the user. List boxes can permit the
selection of one item or multiple items.

 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The first time you run FILE ENCRYPTOR 2000, you are prompted for typing
a password. This password is used each time you run the program. This
feature prevents the others to use this program. (You will find out the
reason for that later.) You can change this password later.

WARNING: Write down your password!! If you forget your password, you won't
be able to use FILE ENCRYPTOR 2000 on this computer anymore.

After typing the password, the main screen of the program appears. There
are 3 ways for you to encode/decode your files:

     - Single file
     - Multiple files
     - Files in list

SINGLE FILE is useful when you want to encode/decode only 1 file. Here are
the steps to encode/decode a single file:

     - Check the SINGLE FILE radio button (The round button).
     - Now type the path of the file you want to encode/decode in the
editbox. You can also press the OPEN button to open a single file.
     - Press the ENCODE or DECODE button.

MULTIPLE FILES is useful when you want to encode/decode more than 1 file.
Like all files in a directory (*.*), or all files with a special extension
(*.exe, *.dat, *.jpg , ...), or all files with a special name (readme.txt,
readme.doc, readme.dat, ...). Here are the steps to encode/decode multiple
 files:

     - Check one of the three radio buttons available in MULTIPLE FILES part.
     - Type the path of the directory you want to encode/decode the files
in. For example, if you want to encode/decode all files in C:\DOS
       directory,

            - Check the ALL FILES radio button.
            - Type C:\DOS in PATH editbox.

If you want to encode/decode all files in C:\DOS that their name is
       SCANDISK (means SCANDISK.*),

            - Check the ALL FILES WITH ... NAME radio button.
            - Type SCANDISK in the editbox in front of the radio button.
            - Type C:\DOS in PATH editbox.

Or if you want to encode/decode all files in C:\DOS that their
       extension is EXE,

            - Check the ALL FILES WITH ... EXTENSION radio button.
            - Type EXE in the editbox in front of the radio button.
            - Type C:\DOS in PATH editbox.

Now, press ENCODE or DECODE button.

ALL FILES IN LIST feature is useful when there are some files you need to
encrypt/decyprt often. Then, you don't have to do the above tasks every
time. You edit a list of files you need to encode/decode often. You can
edit this list by pressing EDIT LIST button. When the list appears, press
the OPEN button and choose the file you want to add to list. Then, press
the ADD button to add it to list. You can also remove a file from list by
either double-clicking on it or pressing REMOVE button.

NOTE: When you press the OPEN button, a dialog box appears. This doalog
box shows the files in your computer. You can choose multiple files
by pressing the SHIFT or ALT key and clicking on the name of files.

After you edit the list, press the OK button to save the changes. Now,
the main screen of FILE ENCRYPTOR 2000 appears again. Check the ALL FILES
IN LIST radio button and press encode/decode.

TIP 1: You can encode a single file with a password. To do that, check the
ENCRYPT WITH PASSWORD check box before pressing ENCRYPT button.

TIP 2: You can change the start-up password by pressing the STARTUP PASSWORD
        button.

 COPYRIGHT NOTES
