1. Release Notes

CodeTalker is a simple program that can be used for many low-security encryption tasks, such as enciphering password lists, personal emails, etc. By using a single-level substitution encryption method, this program is fast and simple, yet effective. Although it would not be very difficult to break the code, it does (and will) discourage casual reading of your email and other documents.

2. Installing CodeTalker

Unzip the archive contents into a new folder - you will see "CodeTalker 2.1" and "Readme.txt".

3. Using CodeTalker

Simple type or paste the text you want to encrypt into the window, and press the "Cipher" key. To decrypt, copy and paste the encrypted text into the window and press "Decipher".

4. Some words about encryption.

If you want ultra secure encryption, use PGP. If you want fast and simple protection from snoopers, use CodeTalker!

5. Shareware stuff.

CodeTalker 2.1 is shareware. If you use CodeTalker 2.1 and find it useful, please send $5 to the address at the bottom of this page. If you don't think it's worth that, send what you feel it is worth. Otherwise, at least send an email and tell me what you think of CodeTalker, and what you would like to see added/changed. CodeTalker is freely distributable as long as this readme is included.
