1. Description
--------------

S ScreenLock is a freeware program that was designed to lock your
PC while you are away from it. So, what does SystemLock do? Easy!

SystemLock will perform the following tasks:
* Disable necessary shortcut keys (like Alt+Ctrl+Del, Alt+Tab,
  Ctrl+Esc, Alt+F4)
* Disable the Windows key and the Taskbar
* Search for Screensavers which can be run from SystemLock
* Allow you to verify and/or change your Screensaver password
* Allow you to disable or enable your Screensaver
* Limit the mouseCursor's movement to SystemLock
* And a host of other things

By disabling all those System Shortcut Keys, no one can do
anything on your PC (well, almost). But by limiting the
mouse movement, no one can do anything, and that includes
messing with your desktop!

2. System Requirements
----------------------

SA Screenlock requires that you be running Windows 95/98/ME. Also,
the Visual Basic 6 Runtime Modules is required and are NOT included
in the installation. You can download them from Microsoft's website
(http://www.microsoft.com) or CNet (http://www.download.com).
SA ScreenLock will not work on Windows NT/2000.

3. Installing
-------------

Extract all the files in the zip file (using Winzip or a similar
program) to a single directory and double click on Setup.exe. Follow
the instructions on screen to complete the installation.

4. Uninstalling
---------------

To uninstall SA Screenlock, click Start, Settings, Control Panel and
double click Add/Remove Programs. Select SA ScreenLock from the list
and click Add/Remove. Follow the on-screen instructions.

5. Name Change
--------------

Note to all SystemLock users. SA ScreenLock is an updated version of
SystemLock. It has been renamed because of some conflict with other
programs on the internet with the same name. Therefore, you will no
longer be seeing SystemLock, but SA ScreenLock. SA ScreenLock, although
an update to SystemLock, will start the version number from 1.00, where
it would have been SystemLock 3.00.

6. Getting started
------------------

Click Start, Programs, SA ScreenLock, click SA ScreenLock.
If you are running Windows NT, a message will appear and the
program will terminate. If you are running Windows 98/95/ME you
will be presented with the User Interface. Before typing in your
password, click on Settings in the Options menu and choose the
configuration that you require. Click OK when you are done.
Type in a password on the Main User Interface, confirm the
Password and click on Lock.
When you want to unlock the computer, simply type in the password
and click on Unlock.
NOTE: The password in the Initial Password & Confirm Password boxes
will appear longer than the one you typed as soon as you lock the
computer. That is intended; it is your password in encrypted form
to hide from password stealers.

7. What's New
-------------

As was said, SA ScreenLock started out as SystemLock, but was renamed
following conflict with other programs. So I cannot say that this is a
first release, instead, I will carry on as if it has always been SA
ScreenLock.
The things which I added from SystemLock 2.11 is listed below.
Added: Internal Screensaver
Added: Screensaver Preview Screen
Added: Running the Screensaver Control Panel Applet
Added: You can run SA ScreenLock at Windows Startup
Added: Configurable Double Click Action for System Tray Icon
Added: You can disable the running of screensavers while the system is
       locked
Added: Option to change the wallpaper when the system is locked
Added: You can choose to use a custom bitmap file for a wallpaper
Added: Hiding the desktop icons
Added: You can choose to be able to move the interface or not
Added: Encryption, so you don't have to retype your password every time
       SA ScreenLock is run
Added: An AutoLock option
Added: Hotkeys for the most used functions.
Added: Anyone can now leave you urgent notes, without unlocking the PC
       (Optional)
Added: Logging the password attempts to file
Added: Option to minimize all open windows
Added: You can shutdown, reboot or logoff the computer from the
Systemtray Icon (See Extended Functions in the helpfile)
Changed: The time is no longer displayed in the titlebar, but instead
         in the statusbar
Fixed: The pathetic help! It is now in .chm format (if you are a new
       user, be glad :-)
Fixed: The SystemTray Icon Tooltip text will give the Double-click
       Action
Fixed: A bug that would enable the SystemHotkeys when the screensaver
       finishes
Fixed: Sorts the screensavers alphabetically

LATE ENTRY: Since the help file was created, some things have been
added or changed, nothing serious, and will therefore not be available
in the help file. If you are uncertain about something, please do not
hesitate to contact me for any help.
