Thank you for taking the time to download and evaluate WINALYSIS. WINALYSIS is a system utility designed to help manage change on Windows 2000/NT/ME/98 computers. The program can monitor the registry, files, users, groups, scheduled jobs, shares, services, the environment, disk space, policies (security, password, audit), the event log and more. After initial configuration the program can tell you what's changed on a system with a single mouse click. The program can be configured to monitor any number of computers raising alerts when critical level changes are detected. In addition, the program includes to tool to audit user accounts on domain controllers, servers and workstations. 


INSTALLATION NOTES

To install Winalysis 2.80, run the installation program: wnaly280.exe

WINALYSIS installs into a user specified directory. The WINALYSIS installation will not update any files outside of this installation directory. WINALYSIS does not install any NT/2000 Services. To uninstall WINALYSIS use the "Add/Remove Programs" feature of the Windows Control Panel.

The installation takes approximately 1.5 MG. System snapshots are compressed and require approximately 2.5 MG per machine. You can monitor remote computers without installing any Winalysis software on the remote machines.


LICENSE NOTES


WINALYSIS comes with a free 14 day unrestricted trial license. After 14 days, only the Registry compare features will continue to work.

WHAT'S NEW IN VERSION 2.80


1. The Automated Operations module can now optionally generate SNMP traps when critical or warning level events occur.

2. The What Changed module now can monitor the Windows Event Log. This helps you quickly determine WHO made the changes. 

3. Snapshots may now be archived and compared to other snapshots. This allows you to monitor changes between any two points in time. 

4. Winalysis can now convert selected events from local and remote Windows Event Logs into SNMP traps.

5. The online help was improved and indexed.
