I.	LICENSE AGREEMENT
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

By installing MP3 Juicer  (THE SOFTWARE)  you are consenting to be bound by this agreement. If you do not agree to all of the terms of this agreement, you must stop using THE SOFTWARE and remove it from your computer.

The following terms apply to the use of  THE SOFTWARE :
 you are granted use of THE SOFTWARE  in the manner described under "Scope of License". 
 
SCOPE OF LICENSE

You may:

Use the licensed copy of THE SOFTWARE on any single computer

Use the licensed copy of  THE SOFTWARE on a network, provided that each person accessing the software through the network must have a copy licensed to that person.

Use THE SOFTWARE on a second computer as long as only one copy is used at a time.

You may not:

-Redistribute licensed copies of THE SOFTWARE 

-Permit other individuals to use the licensed copy of  THE SOFTWARE except under the terms listed above

-Modify, translate, reverse engineer, decompile,  disassemble, or create derivative works based on THE SOFTWARE 

DISCLAIMER  OF WARRANTEE

It is understood that THE SOFTWARE and any related documentation is provided "as is" without warranty  of any kind, either express or implied, including, without limitation, the implied warranties or merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or  noninfringement of intellectual property rights.  The entire risk arising out of use or performance of THE SOFTWARE remains with you, the user. Whether during the trial period, or after Registration, it is understood that  you  install and use this program and related files at your own risk.   This disclaimer of  warranty constitutes an essential part of the agreement.

 

Third Party Encoding Libraries

In view of private ownership claims of undetermined scope of the encoding algorithm(s)) employed in the encoding software libraries or codecs, restrictions apply in potentially affected countries, including U.S.A. and Germany. If you reside in one of the affected countries,  you consent  to obtaining and using the encoding software libraries on your own initiative, and at your own risk. You may request a copy of THE SOFTWARE less the encoding software libraries. If you have obtained a copy of THE SOFTWARE which includes the encoding software libraries as part of the installation package, you explicitly accept all risks and liabilities associated with possession and, if applicable, distribution of the encoding software libraries. In countries where no claims exist  to limit distributing the encoding software libraries together with  THE SOFTWARE,  it is understood that  you  install and use this program and related files at your own risk. Notwithstanding other provisions in this agreement, you may not redistribute THE SOFTWARE containing the encoding software libraries in potentially affected countries.

In no event shall the author  or any party associated with the author be held liable for any damages whatsoever arising from, or due to the use or misuse of THE SOFTWARE,  (including, without limitation, damages for loss of business profit, business interruption, loss of business information, copyright or patent infringement liability, or any other pecuniary loss) arising out of the use or inability to use this product, even if the author has been advised of the possibility of such damages.  

There are no other warrantees made, either explicitly or implicitly.

The license will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with the limitations described herein. On termination, you must destroy all copies of THE SOFTWARE.





II  SYSTEM  REQUIREMENTS
Processor 
As a minimum, you'll need a Pentium processor (100Mhz) with at least 16 Megabytes of RAM, to use Installing MP3 Juicer   effectively. Although it will work on a slower system, like a 486, the performance is poor. In general, the faster your processor is, and the more RAM you have, the better the performance will be.

Sound System
You need a sound card, CD drive and speakers in order to make full use of  the program. If you are only using the program to encode or decode files, you do not need a complete sound system. But you do need a CD drive

Platform
MP3 Juicer runs equally well on Windows 98 or Windows 95. But it does not run on earlier versions of Windows. It should perform equally well on Windows 2000, but has not been tested on this system at this writing.

Help File
The  MP3 Juicer  Help file is a separatel HTML file, and requires MS Internet Explorer to work.


III.     Installing MP3 Juicer    on your Computer

MP3 Juicer   is designed for use on a computer running under Windows 98 or 95. It can't be installed  in Windows 3.1 or other operating systems.

Run the setup program in Windows 95 or Windows 98 to install MP3 Juicer   on your computer. You can install/uninstall the program as often as you like. Do it by using the setup program provided. The setup program unpacks the program files and copies them to your working directory.

Here's how to install Installing MP3 Juicer :
 	
    1.  Start Windows 95/98.

    2.  Locate the  installation file on your computer.
 	
	MP3 Juicer   comes packed in a zipped, compressed file called "***.zip" If you downloaded the file over the internet, look for it in the directory into which you downloaded it. If you received it via E-mail, look in the e-mail directory, or in the directory which you designated as the destination for e-mail attachments.
 
    3. Use a progran such as "PKUNZIP" to decompress the files to the installation directory.

    4. You can start the installation process by clicking on  "SETUP.EXE" in Windows Explorer, or you can follow steps 5 to 6,  below.
	    
    5. From the START menu, select RUN to open the File Run Dialog Box.

    6. Enter the Command Line in the dialog box that will run the MP3 Juicer setup program. This is the full pathname of the setup program "SETUP.EXE". Use the "Browse" feature to locate this file.

     If you copied the setup program to floppy Drive "A", type:
	    A:\SETUP
     If your floppy disk goes in your Drive "B", type:
	    B:\SETUP

	Click the OK" command button.

     7. When the setup program loads, just follow the prompts. It will suggest "C:\Program Files\..." as the default destination directory into which the progam will be installed. Choose a different directory if you wish.
	
     8. The Setup program will unpack the necessary files and place them into the selected directory. 

     9. The setup program will notify you when the installation is complete.
