1. OVERVIEW

* Are you converting your Vinyl LPs to CDs or MP3 Files?

You have probably discovered how time-consuming it is, trying to record each track as separate WAV files to store on a CD or to encode as separate MP3 files. LP Ripper makes the task much easier.

Using recording software (e.g. LP Recorder) just record each side of your LP as a single WAV file on your computer. LP Ripper automatically splits the file into a separate WAV file for each track ready to write to a recordable audio CD.

Alternatively, an optional encoder can be used to produce an MP3 or WMA file for each track. These are compressed files, allowing you to store the equivalent of a dozen or so LPs on a single CD, playable on a computer.

* How does LP Ripper work?

LP Ripper calculates the length of each track by detecting the gap between tracks and displays a track listing showing the time of each track. You can then select which track(s) you want to save as separate WAV, MP3 or WMA files.

Some LPs have little or no gaps between tracks; others have long quiet sections that could be mistaken for a gap. You can change the times that it has calculated or trim the tracks visually using the coarse / fine waveform display.

2. ADDITIONAL FEATURES

* Listen to previews of the tracks

* Optionally adjust the fade-in / fade-out on selected tracks

* Replace the hiss between tracks with silence

* Save editing progress between sessions

* Use LP Recorder .TRK files for fast operation
