1. Installation and registration

We recommend that you remove previous versions of Eclipx from your
system by using the Add/Remove Programs applet in the control panel.
Eclipx is a small full-featured application that will install easily
by using the standard defaults it provides. On completion of the
installation run Eclipx from the menu and follow the registration
wizard to set up your account on Eclipx. If this is a re-install
then enter your client ID number and follow the steps provided
to restore your information.

Eclipx doesn't require your address or other personal statistics other
than your approximate location on the globe. We use this position
(latitude and longitude) to locate a technician that is as close as
possible geographically to improve the connection.

2. Free Eclipx versus Certified Eclipx

The Free Eclipx Site provides dispatching services for anyone willing
to help others with simple computer application problems. The service
(tech to client) is not monitored and therefore caution is advised
when allowing Remote Control of your system. The user feedback
history is available to determine the quality of person requesting
or delivering support. You can get good support for free using the
Free Eclipx support site.

The Certified site provides monitored services that provides
peace-of-mind, quality and guaranteed service. All of the staff
delivering Certified Eclipx support have undergone Eclipx
certification for their chosen applications. They follow a code of
conduct and deliver unrivalled support.

3. Supported platforms and system requirements

Eclipx Support Tools has been tested on Windows 95/98/2000, NT 4.0
and Terminal Server Edition.

Your computer should have at least a Pentium class processor, 32
megabytes of ram and 5 megabytes of space free on the hard drive.
Eclipx requires that at least version 3.0 of Microsoft Internet
Explorer is currently installed on the system and that Windows 95
systems have winsock 2.0 installed (visit www.microsoft.com or
www.itwi.com/eclipx/support for more information)

4. Internet connectivity, firewalls and proxy

Most connection to an ISP will provide a reliable connection to Eclipx
Dispatch and connections between clients and technicians. If your ISP
connection provides you with a valid Public IP address then you are
ready to connect with Eclipx.

Technicians cannot be behind a proxy or firewall unless they setup
port forwarding for a number of ports and ranges as it's the clients
responsibility to connect to the technician. Eclipx ramdomly cycles
through a range of ports for client to technician connections. Eclipx
is currently developing a proxy to specifically handle Eclipx
connectivity and will include transaction reporting.

For late breaking instructions and port setting visit the Eclipx
support site at www.itwi.com/eclipx/support.

Corporate accounts that have internal technicians using Eclipx have
less connectivity issues and can request additional software and
instructions for allowing staff to connect to external Eclipx support
teams by contacting corporate@itwi.com or by calling (877) 497-1618
