CYBERSECRETARY FOR MICROSOFT OUTLOOK 2000
Version 2.0 Release Notes - January 3, 2001

INTRODUCTION

CyberSecretary for Microsoft Outlook 2000 is your virtual
office assistant...putting the "face" in "user interface,"
and the "personal" in "personal information manager."
If you use Microsoft Outlook 2000, your CyberSecretary
can perform many useful tasks:

CALENDAR
- Showing you your Outlook 2000 calendar in the morning
- Coming to remind you when it's time for appointments

CONTACTS
- Taking and keeping phone messages
- Creating phone log entries
- Preparing mail messages addressed to your contacts
- Getting street maps/driving directions (requires Internet)

INCOMING MAIL
- Announcing arrival of incoming mail, indicating who it is from,
   and the subject

SENT MAIL
- Setting follow-up reminders for mail messages
- Printing mail messages
- Filing mail messages (in Outlook, or as files)
- Adding to your Journal (with a link to the filed message)

INTERNET
- Searching the Internet using popular search engines (without
   opening your browser first)
- Getting stock prices
- Visiting Internet sites (scheduled or when requested)

REMINDERS
- Set free-form text reminders (for today, tomorrow, daily, weekly)
- Remind you to follow-up on important mail messages
- Launch programs or open documents on a scheduled basis

YOU CAN TEACH YOUR CYBERSECRETARY NEW THINGS. Just right-click on
any program, document, shortcut or Internet shortcut and send it to
your CyberSecretary. She will come right away, to find out what
you'd like her to do. She can schedule the new task for a daily or
weekly basis, or add it to her list of tasks she can perform when
you left-click on her tray icon.

Your CyberSecretary also features artificial intelligence, and
includes three guessing games. Pick a place, an animal, or a
president, and she will try to guess. She gets better with practice!

CUSTOMIZE

Right-click on your CyberSecretary's tray icon and choose Customize
to determine which tasks will be performed by your CyberSecretary.
If you are looking for more flexibility and power, try CyberSecretary
2000 Pro, which can be customized to perform many more useful tasks
through her powerful script language.

USE IN WORD, EXCEL AND OTHER VBA MACROS

CyberSecretary for Microsoft Outlook 2000 is built using the
CyberSecretary Object Library, an ActiveX component that offers
the following features:
- A customizable dialog for displaying messages and getting
   user input.
- A library of seven facial expressions (male and female), over
150 icons, and over 40 sound effects and voice clips
- Easy-to-use support for reading/writing the Registry and .INI
files, opening and printing document files, accessing Windows
common dialogs, and even getting information via the Internet,
which would otherwise require Windows API programming.
- All of this with your CyberSecretary's unique user interface!
You can use the CyberSecretary Object Library in your own Word, Excel
and other macros written in Visual Basic for Applications. See
CSMACROS.CHM (the macro reference) for more details.

- Microsoft Outlook 2000 (Part of Microsoft Office 2000)
- Visual Basic 6 Runtime Library (MSVBVM60.DLL)

INSTALLATION

If you received CyberSecretary on CD, simply launch SETUP.EXE.
This will copy all necessary files to a folder (c:\Program Files\

If you received CyberSecretary as a .ZIP archive, unzip all files to
the folder of your choice (e.g. c:\Program Files\CyberSecretary) and
launch CYBERSEC.EXE.

The first time the program is run, your CyberSecretary will perform
all other installation tasks, including registering her files,
creating Start Menu shortcuts, and offering a brief tutorial.

GETTING HELP

A shortcut to the user guide is added to your Start Menu. Also, you
can open the user guide at any time your CyberSecretary is visible
by pressing F1.
