Overview:

KeyMaster allows you to set preferences for the following keys when you switch your computer on:

Num Lock
Caps Lock
Scroll Lock

It also allows you to set a preference so that Caps Lock is disabled when you press Shift so that you do not type 'tHIS IS A DEMO' by mistake

A further setting allows you to set ` as a panic key. This is the key on the top left of the keyboard (to the left of 1 and above Tab). If you check the panic box and press this key the current application window you are in will be hidden. Press it again and the window will return. This is ideal if you are working on a confidential document - another person can use your computer and not be aware of the document being there

KeyMaster is compatible with Windows 95/98 and Windows NT

Setting Up:

When you have downloaded the ZIP file, create a directory called KeyMaster with all files in there. Run the program RUNME.EXE. This will create an icon in the Startup Program Group for KeyMaster pointing to the directory where RUNME originated from

Operation:

When Windows starts up KeyMaster will execute. You will see a registration screen - take the Not Registering This Time option.

You will then see a screen with check boxes indicating the status of
your lock keys - these can be altered by either clicking on the boxes or pressing the keys themselves.

The bottom check box relates to disabling Caps Lock with the shift key. If this is on then whenever you press Shift, Caps Lock will be disabled

The final check box relates to a panic key - see above

Save your settings off. A file called C:\WINDOWS\KEYMASTER.INI is created for Windows 95/98. A file called C:\WINNT\KEYMASTER.INI is created for Windows NT

Changing Settings:

Run the program RESET.EXE - this will redisplay the settings screen

Uninstalling:

Click on Startup with right mouse button and select Open. DoubleClick on Programs and then DoubleClick on Startup. Click on KeyMaster icon and press delete. Delete all files in Keymaster directory and KEYMASTER.INI
