The program is simple to use.

First, install the two fonts by using the windows control panel. Secondly, place the file "Language.dot" in your Word templates directory. If you don't know where your templates directory is, use windows explorer to see if there is a directory called

c:\program files\microsoft office\templates

Some systems store templates in a different directory

c:\program files\microsoft office\office

The easiest way is to click on the start menu, select "find" and choose find files. Search for all *.dot files. Save Language.dot to the directory where most of them are stored.

When you create a new file using the Language.dot template, you should notice in the insert menu two new options: GreekEntry and HebrewEntry. Simply choose one and start experimenting.

WORD MAY ASK IF YOU WANT TO ENABLE OR DISABLE MACROS. YOU MUST ENABLE MACROS FOR THIS PROGRAM TO WORK RIGHT. TO AVOID THIS HASSLE IN THE FUTURE DO THE FOLLOWING.

Make sure Language.dot is in the templates directory and that the directory also has a file called Normal.dot. Find the file named Normal.dot and change its name to OldNormal.dot. Now rename Language.dot to Normal.dot. Everytime you run Word, you will have the option to type Hebrew and Greek effortlessly.

Feel free to distribute the program freely so long as you include the two fonts, the file Language.dot and this Readme file.

If you do use the program, please email me at jeff.mikels@writeme.com. I want to know who is using it so I can provide updates.

I would also appreciate a few bucks for my troubles ($1-5). You can spare that, can't you.
