About LANcaster
LANcaster is a tool for sending Messenger Service 
messages on your LAN. It supports NetBIOS and NetBT 
(NetBIOS over TCP/IP).

Using LANcaster
LANcaster can be a little tricky to use at first. 
Here is a list of the controls.

LEFT COLUMN
From field - The name you would like to appear as the 
"From" name in your message. This can be anything you 
want. The default is your computer's name.
Message box - This is the large multi-line text field.
Your message goes here.

RIGHT COLUMN
Single option - Send the message to a single machine.
The machine to send to can be entered in the field to 
the right. The address can be either a NetBIOS name, 
an IP address, or a DNS name.
Domain option - Send the message to a NetBIOS domain.
The domain to send to can be entered in the field to 
the right.
IP Range option - Send the message to a range of IP
addresses. You can specify the starting and ending 
IP addresses in the fields below. You can also 
specify the time to wait (in milliseconds) between 
each address in the Delay field.
T/O (Timeout) - The time (in milliseconds) to wait 
before abandoning sending the message.
