CMDirMan Readme

CMDirMan works with COMDIAL KeyVoice version 10.3/10.4 on Windows NT/2000 systems to allow dealers, distributors, system installers, and administrators to view, edit and organize voice mailbox system users within Group Boxes, or Directories, to easily manage what extensions and voice mailboxes callers reach when dialing into KeyVoice systems. CMDirMan breaks the 50-entry limit on voice mailboxes within Group Boxes, and works with the KeyVoice IVR option package to create an unlimited number of Directories and Group Boxes, without having to edit text files.

CMDirMan makes it easy to add, change, move, remove or delete Users/Mailboxes, Group Box and Directory settings with a simple drag-and-drop user interface. It creates the necessary data files used by the KeyVoice system to assign voice mailboxes to Group Boxes and Directories. The data files can be printed as a reference.

All listings of User Mailboxes, Group Boxes and Directories can be conveniently saved and printed as text files or Excel worksheets.

REGISTRATION

When you run CMDirMan for the first time, you must enter the name and address of the company or organization where the software is being used (ie, the end-user's site), and information about the KeyVoice distributor/dealer licensed to install CMDirMan on this machine, and this machine's Registration Key code, which you obtain from C&M Telephone, 38 New Britain Ave, Rocky Hill, CT 06067, telephone 860-721-0920. If you do not enter a valid registration Code, this copy of the software will function, but with limits on the number of User mailboxes, Group Boxes and Directories that will be displayed.

Once the software is set up properly, you begin by creating voicemail Directories, such as office sites or departments, which are handled by KeyVoice as separate sets of telephone extensions, and can be assigned to different actions and routings. The system also import your existing list of telephone Users and Group Boxes, or enter them manually, and then assign each user to a specific Directory or Group Box. The program automatically generates a string of numbers that corresponds to the user's first or last name so that callers may select their party's extension by using the telephone touchtone keys.
