Introduction
------------
Mobile AIM Buddy is simply a program that enables you to receive
messages on any mobile phone while you are "away" on AOL Instant
Messenger. Without needing to have Wireless Web or AIM Services on
  your cell phone.

All messages received while you are away (and have our software
enabled) are converted to text messages and forwarded to your cell
	phone automatically.

Mobil AIM Buddy is seamlessly integrated with AIM and your Operating system,
all you have to do to start our software is add a special prefix to your away
message (Please see the QuickStart Guide)

This is the first publicly released version and is only for Microsoft Windows XP.
Shortly releases will appear for other operating systems including Windows 98/ME,
Windows 2000, and even possibly Windows 95.

As time goes on this software will remain free and develop a rich set of features.
However, a premium version of the software is being created in parallel. The Premium
version of Mobile AIM Buddy will include all of the features of the free version along
with much more options and customization potential and will cost around $15 (USD).

What's new in this version
--------------------------
This release is the first public non-beta release of Mobile AIM Buddy.
We've solved a number of minor problems since the last beta testing version
  (Trial Release 9) including:

	- Truncated the extra extensions on all of the shortcuts built during
	  the installation.
	- Added username checking code, you can't try to use MAB now with usernames
that you have not entered in account information for.
	- Multidimensional arrays containing incoming user/message information are
now intelligently redimensioned as you receive more messages.
	- Added miscellaneous memory management cleanup code

Look for a lot of new functionality soon in the next version.

Known issues
------------
We realize that the process of starting MAB (outlined in this document and the
QuickStart Guide) is a bit strange. Our initial justification for using a prefix
system was simply because it sounded like the best way to integrate our product
with AIM. Instead, based on comments of beta-testers and other people interested
in Mobile AIM Buddy, we have realized that most people would prefer a different
method such as a checkbox on the AIM away message. We value your input and are
working on developing a more simple way of starting Mobile AIM Buddy with your
  away message.

Secondly, we also realize that there is no way of viewing your messages while you
are away or when you return. The framework for this is in place and we are testing
a few different ways of implementing this important feature. It didn't make it in
this release but it will be included in the next.

Also, as a minor note, we are aware of problems that arise when you make changes to
the configuration with two different instances of the configuration dialog open.
Expect this to be fixed in the next release.

Finally, we also acknowledge the fact that AOL is beta testing very similar
functionality in its next release of AOL Instant Messenger. This software is a free
add on that offers just as much usefulness Internationally and more customization.
We feel that we can provide a better solution for mobile message forwarding.
