MCDISK Firmware updates

All the MCDISKs contain firmware that is located in an EPROM inside the device. Therefore, it is possible to update the firmware by changing the EPROM.

New firmware upgrades can either be obtained from our Distributors or you can program the EPROM yourself. For this, you need an empty or erased 512 kBit EPROM (27C512) to put the appropriate binary into. We do not recommend to re-use the original EPROM from the MCDISK so you have the possibility to revert your changes in case something goes wrong.

The binaries below have to be put into the EPROM with an offset of 0x4000. This means that the byte with the address 0x0000 of the binary has to be put at address 0x4000 in the EPROM.
