ANTIC SUPERCOPYINSTRUCTIONSJAN. 1988 ANTIC SUPER DISK BONUSBY BRYAN SCHAPPEL & BARRY KOLBE   Antic SuperCopy is one of thefastest, easiest multi-file copiersever published for 8-bit Ataridisks.  The entire copying processis operated via menu selection andnormally requires only five keypresses.   Antic SuperCopy will put an endto tedious searching for correctwildcard filenames.  This powerfulmachine language program runs on all8-bit Atari computers with at least48K memory and a disk drive.RUNNING SUPERCOPY   Antic SuperCopy is on yourmonthly disk under the filenameBCOPY.EXE.  There are two simpleways to start this program:   1. From the DOS menu, selectchoice L and type BCOPY.EXE[RETURN].  Antic SuperCopy will loadand run.   2. You can make an AnticSuperCopy disk that runsautomatically whenever you boot yourAtari with it.  From the DOS menu,use menu choice I to format a blankdisk.  Next, use choice H to WriteDOS files to this blank disk.  Now,use choice C to copy the BCOPY.EXEfile to this disk.     Finally, use menu choice E torename BCOPY.EXE as AUTORUN.SYS.Your Antic SuperCopy disk iscomplete. To use it, place it indisk drive 1 and turn off yourAtari.  Remove all cartridges (XL/XEowners should hold down the [OPTION]key) and turn on your Atari.  AnticSuperCopy will automatically loadand run.COPYING FILES   TWO-DRIVE SYSTEMS: When theprogram begins, you may select asource and destination drive bypressing the S and D keys.  Drive 8lets you use the 130XE's RAMdisk.Insert the correct disks in thedrives and press the [START] key.   ONE-DRIVE SYSTEM: Insert thesource disk in drive 1 and press[START].FILE SELECTION   The directory of the source diskis shown on the left hand side ofthe screen.  Scroll through thedirectory by usin the [UP-ARROW] and[DOWN-ARROW] keys -- don't hold down[CONTROL].  Press [RETURN] to markthe files you wish to copy.  Theirnames will be highlighted in thedirectory.  Press [RETURN] again tounmark a file.   Mark as many files as you like.However, you are not allowed to markor copy DOS.SYS.OTHER COMMANDS   Press [ESCAPE] to abort andrestart Antic SuperCopy.   The [C] key changes the screencolor by altering the hue.   The [START] key is used to beginthe copy process.   On a two-drive system you canjust sit back and watch AnticSuperCopy work, or go feed the cat.With a one-drive system you will beperiodically asked to Insert SourceDisk or Insert Destin. Disk andpress [START].  When the copyprocess is done, you are given thechoice of restarting Antic SuperCopyor returning to DOS.ERRORS   If an error occurs, the COPY MENUbox becomes the DISK ERROR box.First you are told the error number.Make note of it so you can later fix(hopefully) the problem.  The mostcommon errors will be:   144  WRITE PROTECTED DISK   162  DISK FULL   167  FILE LOCKED   Next, the name of the file onwhich the error occured is shown.It is followed by the message,Closing Files.  With two drives,both files are closed -- ifpossible.   If you are using one drive,you're asked to insert the sourcedisk and the file is closed on thatdisk.  Then insert the destinationdisk and the corresponding file onit will be closed.
