CREATE THE INSTALLATION DISKETTE

This archive includes a self-extracting diskette image of the bootable BIOS 
update diskette.  The image file is named BIOSDISK.EXE.  To create the BIOS
update diskette, type the following command at the command prompt:

 BIOSDISK A:

This requires a formatted 1.44MB 3.5" diskette, and assumes that the 3.5" 
diskette drive is on A:.  If your 3.5" diskette drive is other than A:, 
substitute the desired drive letter in place of "A" above.

INFINIA BIOS UPDATE PROCEDURE
 
 
1.  Power on the unit, and access system setup by pressing F1 when prompted. 
 
2.  Write down or printout (Shift + print Scrn) the current setup selection 
    in all three menus (i.e. Main, Advanced and security). Use the right 
    arrow key to select individual setup menu, then print each menu. 
 
3.  Save and exit setup. Switch off the unit. 
 
4.  Remove the right side panel (Refer to section 4.2.1 of the Maintenance
    Manual for instructions).  
 
5.  Remove the jumper at J10C1-A pins 4 & 5, and install it on pins 5 & 6 
    of J10C1-A to clear the CMOS. (Refer to appendix B.1 of the Maintenance 
    Manual for location of jumpers). 
 
6.  Power on the unit. When the message " NVRAM cleared by jumper " appears 
    power off the unit. 
 
7.  Insert the CMOS clear jumper back to its original position on pins 4 & 5 
    of J10C1-A. 
 
8.  Insert the bootable BIOS Update diskette in the floppy drive and power 
    the unit back on. (If the BIOS diskette is not a bootable one, shut down 
    windows 95, and restart in MS-DOS Mode, then access the floppy drive and 
    execute FMUP.EXE file). 
    
9.  Press Enter when " Flash Memory Update Utility " screen is displayed. 
 
10.  Select (Highlight using the down arrow key) " Update FLASH Memory Area 
     from a File " and press enter. 
 
11.  At the next menu " Update System BIOS " is highlighted. Press enter to 
     select. 
 
12.  When the next menu asks you to enter a path/file name, use the down 
     arrow key once to select 100xDH08.BIO and press enter. x is the version 
     of BIOS system is being updated to. 
 
13.  The utility asks for confirmation that you want to load the file into 
     Flash Memory. Press enter where " Continue with programming " is 
     highlighted. 
 
14.  After the BIOS update is completed remove the diskette and press enter 
     to reboot the unit. 
 
15.  Enter the setup menu by pressing F1 when prompted, and use the copy 
     (printout) of the setup  you made at the beginning of this procedure. 
     Set the setup options to those before the BIOS was updated.
